Description

Walking down Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, I spotted this statue of a surfer riding a wave. The name of the statue is called Surfer on the Wave. It was built as a tribute to the ancient Polynesian sport of surfing, a popular recreational activity in Waikiki Beach and the rest of Hawaii. And like that other statues, someone's given it a lei.
